Medicare.gov is the official U.S. Government Internet site for Medicare consumer information. It is designed with the beneficiary in mind to provide people with Medicare with up-to-date health and insurance information. The Health Care Financing Administration, the agency that administers Medicare, created Medicare.gov in the spring of 1998.
